Buddha on Thoughts and Mindfulness

“Your worst enemy cannot harm you

as much as your own thoughts, unguarded.

But once mastered,

no one can help you as much…”

“We are what we think.

All that we are arises with our thoughts.

With our thoughts we make the world.”

—both quotes by Buddha, as cited in the book Buddha, by Jon Ortner.

    Dear Nancy,

I love this quote by the Buddha and think it is a most central principle of our state of happiness or lack thereof.

I also love your blog – the colors – the simplicity – the poetry and of course, Brain + Coaching.

    Thank you my friend,
